Sleeps 4, 2 bedrooms. Price From £495 Per Week
Les Coudreaux is a smallhamlet deep in the beautiful Normandy countryside that has been lovingly converted into gites; it is a wonderful country retreat which perfectly combines the charm and atmosphere of the old with the comfort and convenience of the new.
When we first saw Les Coudreaux it was a “romantic ruin” but we both knew instantly it was the place for us and we think you’ll feel the same about your holiday here.
Basse Normandie is in easy reach of the ferry ports and has lots of things to see and do – all of which are within easy reach of your wonderful “home from home”.
One of two cottages, Le Trou Normand is our lovely 2 bedroom gîte which nestles between Le Petit Bijou and the indoor swimming pool.It is perfect for 2 couples or a group of 4.
Le Trou Normand literally translated means “The Norman Hole”!! If you want to understand more about what a Trou Normand really is, then come and stay with us and we’ll be delighted to explain and even make a real one for you – they are delicious.
Bedroom 1 has a comfortable double bed, wardrobe & dressing table. It is really light and airy and has the added bonus of a full length dormer window and lovely exposed beams.
Bedroom 2 is also sleeps two people in single beds which, if required can be converted into two single beds. It also has a wardrobe, dressing table and exposed beams. The views across the Norman landscape from the window are delightful.
The bathroom is light, bright and clean. It has a bath with shower, WC and a modern rectangular sink. It is tastefully decorated with contemporary blue and white tiles.
Downstairs, you will find an open plan living space with everything you need for a fantastic self catering holiday. We have retained the best of the original features of what was once a stable – exposed stone walls and oak beams. In the lounge area, you will find a stone fireplace and insert log burner, two comfortable sofas, TV and DVD player.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, gas hob and extractor fan. You will also find a dishwasher, fridge and freezer and plenty of storage space.
There is an oak table and chairs in the dining area and a private deck area (complete with barbeque and wooden patio table & chairs) for those leisurely al fresco meals on balmy summer nights. There is also a private garden.
The indoor, heated pool is open from the end of March until the end of October and there is a games room, children’s swing & slide & ping pong table. Bikes also available.
