Sleeps 2-5, 2 bedrooms. Price From £375 Mid Season Per Week

Our self catering cottage in Dunster Village was built in 1835. It is situated in a small, quiet road just off the main street. Standing at the foot of the magnificent Dunster Castle and ancient church.

Clover Cottage sleeps 2-5 people. There are two bedrooms – a spacious double room with an additional single bed suitable for a child, and a smaller room with a 4-foot bed – cosy for a couple or ideal as a single room.

The kitchen is fully equipped, modern with cooker/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, ironing facilities and combi boiler for constant hot water. There is a separate lounge with period features, an open fireplace with a contemporary gas stove, television, DVD player and wireless internet. The dining room is equipped for 4 to 6 people.

There is a modern bathroom with a shower, toilet and wash basin on the ground floor.

Consists of a small, fully enclosed, south-facing, sunny terrace at the rear of the cottage with views over Dunster Village to the hills beyond.

There is private parking for 1 car only.

Clover Cottage is in a quiet cul-de-sac opposite the entrance to Dunster Castle (National Trust) and close to the beautiful Dunster church. The medieval village with its wide High Street encompassing the old Yarn Market is a few minutes walk away. The old Dovecot and Mill are also just a few minutes walk away.

The cottage is perfectly positioned for several walks on to Exmoor from the door. Bats Castle and Grabbist Hill give superb walks with the reward of wide views over Dunster and across the Bristol Channel.

Local buses to Minehead and Dulverton pass through the village. Dunster Station on the West Somerset Railway is a 20 minute walk away.

From Junction 23 on the M5, turn towards Bridgwater on the A38. In about 3.5 miles, turn right on to the A39 for about 17 miles to Williton. At Williton turn right to stay on the A39 for about 6 miles to reach traffic lights. Turn left to Dunster and follow the road through the village High Street. Pass through the traffic lights controlling a narrow section of road. On emerging from this with the opposing traffic waiting for these lights, turn right at the yellow box into St Georges Street and immediately left into Chapel Row. The cottage is on the left with a parking space just past it on the left.

Mid Season from £375.

Bird Watching

Somerset is a haven for birders. The county’s position, partly sticking out into the channel and subject to a milder climate than almost any other part of the UK, means Somerset is well positioned to attract migrants and wandering colonisers. Somerset seems to straddle the west and east, with buzzards and redstarts, honey buzzards and bearded tits. There are some great hot spots to bird watch and we know where to go. For details about our bird watching please contact Themed Holiday Ideas.
